Our Warranty

Silk & Snow mattresses, furniture, and accessories include a limited warranty offering protection against defects due to faulty workmanship or materials.  Please refer to the warranty specific to each Silk & Snow product.

Mattresses

Silk & Snow warrants each mattress against any defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 15 years. During the warranty period, if your mattress is found defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, it will be repaired or replaced according to the terms below.

Overview

  1. Your Silk & Snow mattress has a 15 year limited warranty from the day of your delivery of your mattress.
  2. The mattress must be opened within 30 days of receipt.
  3. The warranty is only valid for a mattress that is set-up on an adequate foundation or bed frame.
  4. Depending on the model of Silk & Snow mattress, if, despite normal usage and proper handling, your S&S Mattress, S&S Hybrid, or S&S Organic mattress forms permanent indentations of more than 1 inches and 2 inches respectively, when no weight is on top of it, it will be replaced, at your option, according to the terms below.
  5. Silk & Snow will repair or replace any manufacturing defect of the mattress cover.
  6. Silk & Snow will require purchaser to show supporting documents (i.e. pictures) when processing a claim.

Duration and Validity

Your Silk & Snow mattress has a 15 year limited warranty from the day of your delivery of your mattress. For 15 years when you have a defect on your mattress, covered under the warranty, we will replace it or repair it. Your Silk & Snow mattress will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost within the first ten years of usage, and at a cost of 75% of the original purchase price between the eleventh and fifteenth year.

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser from the original purchase date of the original mattress purchased from Silk & Snow Inc. and is non-transferable. If the original purchaser sells or otherwise relinquishes ownership of the mattress to another, the subsequent owner accepts the product “as is” and “with all faults.” The law tags must not be removed from the product because it identifies the warranties outlined herein.

Silk & Snow mattress must not be used on floors susceptible to moisture build-up such as concrete, below-grade (basement), or on floors in humid environments. Such inappropriate use can result in mold growth on the bottom of the mattress and will void your Warranty. Our mattresses are designed for use on firm surfaces, non-spring foundations or adjustable bed bases that are structurally capable of supporting the weight of purchaser’s mattress, foundation, and user(s).

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to maintain an adequate foundation and provide appropriate support for the mattress. Substitution or use of an improper foundation or other base upon which the mattress is placed may result in premature wear and damage to the product thereby voiding this Warranty.

Suitable support includes:

  • A rigid base, like a traditional metal frame with foundation, a platform bed or a slatted bed with slats that are at least 2” wide and no more than 3” apart, or 1.5” wide and no more than 2” apart. Since Queen, King and California King mattresses are wider, platform beds and slat systems require at least one centre support beam.
  • Bed frames and adjustable bases made of wired metal should not be used with your Silk & Snow mattress.

Moreover, our sleep trial and 15 Year Limited Warranty are both voided once the Silk & Snow mattress leaves the country in which it was originally purchased.

S&S Mattress

The Limited Warranty covers the following items under normal wear and tear.

  1. Deterioration of the mattress where a visible permanent indentation of greater than one (1) inch that is not associated with an indentation or sag as a result of the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation.
  2. Any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the mattress that causes permanent damage to the memory foam despite proper set-up and normal use.
  3. Any manufacturing defect in the zipper assembly or fabrics of the mattress cover.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. A normal increase in softness of the memory foam which can occur during normal use.
  2. Personal comfort preferences.
  3. Body indentation of less than one (1) inch.
  4. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage & stains, or soiling.
  5. Damage from using an improper bed frame, foundation, or platform bed.
  6. Non-compliance of washing instructions and handling for the cover resulting in damage to the cover or zipper, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
  7. Height of bed due to purchaser’s bed frame or headboard.
  8. Fitting of bed sheet.
  9. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless that the other piece is also defective.
  10. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  11. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  12. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. loose threads, surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty).
  13. The actual measurement size of the Silk & Snow mattresses may slightly vary. We allow for variances within 1.5 inches (+/-) as a result of the compressed packaging process, or due to various environmental factors.

Silk & Snow makes no medical or health claims regarding its Products. Allergies, discomfort, or other conditions, are not covered under this Agreement nor Warranty. Any questions or concerns regarding medical or health conditions should be addressed by a licensed physician.

S&S Hybrid Mattress or S&S Organic Mattress

The Limited Warranty covers the following items under normal wear and tear.

  1. Deterioration of the mattress where a visible permanent indentation of greater than two (2) inches that is not associated with an indentation or sag as a result of the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation.
  2. Any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the mattress that causes the foam material to split or crack, despite normal usage and proper handling.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. A normal increase in softness which can occur during normal use.
  2. Personal comfort preferences.
  3. Body indentation of less than two (2) inches.
  4. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage & stains, or soiling.
  5. Damage from using an improper bed frame, foundation, or platform bed.
  6. Non-compliance of care instructions, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
  7. Height of bed due to purchaser’s bed frame or headboard.
  8. Fitting of bed sheet.
  9. Damage resulting from the relocation of the Mattress within or from the original residential address.
  10. Damage resulting from any cleaning method other than the allowable spot cleaning.
  11. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless that the other piece is also defective.
  12. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  13. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  14. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. loose threads, surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty)
  15. The actual measurement size of the Silk & Snow mattresses may slightly vary. We allow for variances within 1.5 inches (+/-) as a result of the compressed packaging process, or due to various environmental factors.

Silk & Snow makes no medical or health claims regarding its Products. Allergies, discomfort, or other conditions, are not covered under this Agreement nor Warranty. Any questions or concerns regarding medical or health conditions should be addressed by a licensed physician.

Mattress Replacement Terms

In the event a warranty claim is filed and a warranty replacement is deemed necessary, the purchaser will be required to surrender the original product to Silk & Snow at the time of replacement.

Silk & Snow may, at its own option, repair or replace the cover provided on the mattress. In the event that Silk & Snow replaces the mattress itself, Silk & Snow will replace it with the current style of mattress.

Except as otherwise provided herein, Silk & Snow will not charge the purchaser to repair or replace purchaser’s mattress if it is deemed defective during the length of this 15-year Limited Warranty, but any transportation or shipping costs associated with surrendering the original product are purchaser’s responsibility.

Should this warranty be exercised and your product replaced and/or repaired, no new warranty is provided on a replacement product. The warranty for the replacement product runs from the date of purchase of the original Silk & Snow product.

Our representatives or designated agents shall make the final determination regarding repair or replacement.

S&S Organic Mattress Topper

Silk & Snow 3-Year Organic Mattress Topper Warranty

The Limited Warranty covers the following items under normal wear and tear.

  1. Deterioration of the mattress topper where a visible permanent indentation of greater than one (1) inch that is not associated with an indentation or sag as a result of the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation.
  2. Any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the mattress topper that causes permanent damage to the latex despite proper set-up and normal use.
  3. Any manufacturing defect in the zipper assembly or fabrics of the mattress topper cover.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. A normal increase in softness of the latex which can occur during normal use.
  2. Personal comfort preferences.
  3. Body indentation of less than one (1) inch.
  4. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage & stains, or soiling.
  5. Damage from using an improper bed frame, foundation, or platform bed, or mattress.
  6. Non-compliance of washing instructions and handling for the cover resulting in damage to the cover or zipper, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
  7. Height of bed due to purchaser’s bed frame or headboard, or mattress.
  8. Fitting of bed sheet.
  9. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless the other piece is also defective.
  10. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  11. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  12. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. loose threads, surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty).
  13. The actual measurement size of the Silk & Snow mattresses and mattress toppers may slightly vary. We allow for variances within 1.5 inches (+/-) as a result of the compressed packaging process, or due to various environmental factors.

Furniture

Silk & Snow 5-Year Furniture Warranty

Silk & Snow Inc. (“Silk & Snow”) guarantees that we will, at Silk & Snow’s option, replace or repair purchaser’s product directly from Silk & Snow within 5 years of original delivery date to the original purchaser if it is defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitation described herein.

During the five (5) years of this warranty, Silk & Snow will at its option, repair or replace the product with the current style which may be different than the original product. Only those parts of the furniture that are determined to be defective will be replaced. The transportation or shipping costs associated with surrendering the original product are purchaser’s responsibility. Should such replacement take place, this warranty will cover that replaced product within the original five (5) year period only. Should this warranty be exercised and your product replace and/or repaired, the warranty will not be extended or renewed. Furthermore, the warranty is voided once the product leaves the country in which it was originally purchased.

Bed Frames

The Limited Warranty covers any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the bed frame that causes it to bend, crack, or permanently deform more than 1 inch despite appropriate use and proper handling.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. A normal bowing or arching of the wooden slats which can occur during normal use.
  2. Damage caused by improper assembly of the bed frame.
  3. Personal comfort or style preferences.
  4. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, stains, or soiling.
  5. Non-compliance of care instructions, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
  6. Preferences for height of bed or fitting of a mattress.
  7. Any squeaking noises made by the bed frame.
  8. Damage resulting from the relocation of the bed frame within or from the original residential address.
  9. Replacement of any non-defective pieces of the bed frame (only defective pieces will be replaced).
  10. Damage resulting from any cleaning method other than the allowable spot cleaning.
  11. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless that the other piece is also defective.
  12. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  13. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  14. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty).
  15. Damages from customer jumping, standing, climbing or laying directly onto the bedframe without a mattress.
  16. A slight discolouration of the fabric after long-term exposure to light or usage.
  17. Damage due to usage on an inappropriate surface/placement. The bed frame must be placed directly onto a leveled floor.
  18. Any modification(s) made to the bed frame.
  19. Consequential or incidental loss and/or damage such as but not limited to scratches to a floor and/or loss of personal effects.

Nightstands and Other Case Goods

Goods requiring assembly need special care when handling. Inspect all parts including the hardware BEFORE assembly. Valid part and/or hardware claims must be made PRIOR to assembly. Damages resulting from assembly errors and/or mishandling of parts, most notably scratches, are not covered by this warranty.

This warranty is applicable to manufacturing defects only. This warranty does not cover:

  1. Damage caused by improper assembly and/or installation.
  2. Personal comfort or style preferences.
  3. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, accidents, misuse, mishandling, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, stains, or soiling.
  4. Non-compliance of care instructions, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.
  5. Damage resulting from the relocation of the furniture within or from the original residential address.
  6. Replacement of any non-defective pieces of the product (only defective pieces will be replaced).
  7. Damages resulting from and/or other undesirable outcomes of cleaning products.  
  8. Damage, marking, or staining of veneer surfaces due to contact with rubber or similar compounds.
  9. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless that the other piece is also defective.
  10. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  11. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  12. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty).
  13. Normal variations in wood, veneer, and other natural materials. Within a collection featuring natural materials there may be variations in colour, grain, or texture from piece to piece. Silk & Snow does not cover the matching of colours, grains, and textures of natural materials. 
  14. Solid wood pieces are subject to cracking, warping, and splitting due to changes in humidity. Silk & Snow will not warrant solid wood furniture pieces that have not been kept or maintained as per Silk & Snow solid wood care recommendations.
  15. Damage resulting from using a product in a manner other than its intended design.  Examples include but are not limited to jumping, standing, or climbing on the product; using indoor goods outdoors; or using any non-commercially graded product for commercial purposes.
  16. Direct exposure to sunlight or heat.
  17. Products that have been exposed to any type of extreme environmental conditions, improper storage, or any type of water damage.
  18. Damage due to usage on an inappropriate surface/placement. The bed frame must be placed directly onto a leveled floor.
  19. Products that have been altered in any manner that departs from their original design.
  20. Consequential or incidental loss and/or damage such as but not limited to scratches to a floor and/or loss of personal effects.

Adjustable Bed

Silk & Snow 10-Year Adjustable Bed Warranty

Silk & Snow guarantees that we will, at Silk & Snow’s option, replace or repair the purchaser's product directly from Silk & Snow within 10 years of original delivery date to the original purchaser if it is defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitation described herein. 

During the 10 years of this warranty, Silk & Snow will at its option, repair or replace the product with the current style which may be different than the original product. Only those parts of the adjustable bed that are determined to be defective will be replaced. The transportation or shipping costs associated with surrendering the original product are the purchaser’s responsibility. Should such replacement take place, this warranty will cover that replaced product within the original 10 year period only. Should this warranty be exercised and your product replaced and/or repaired, the warranty will not be extended or renewed. Furthermore,  the warranty is voided once the product leaves the country in which it was originally purchased.

“Removable Frame Components” are defined as mattress retainer bar, wood legs, metal frame, and hardware.

The Limited Warranty covers:

  1. Years 0-2: Any physical flaw despite normal usage and proper handling on all components of the adjustable bed including motors, cords, control box, bed panels, and remote controller.
  2. Years 3-10: If a defect occurs with respect to an adjustable bed part other than the  removable frame components, including electronic parts (a “Non-Metal Frame Part”), in years 3-10 following the date of purchase for an Adjustable Bed bought new, Silk & Snow will offer replacement parts (upon terms and conditions set forth in this paragraph) for any Non-Metal Frame Part found to be defective. Purchaser shall be responsible for the then-current cost of replacement of the defective Non-Metal Frame Part. Upon request and at purchaser’s cost, Silk & Snow will assist the purchaser to arrange for the repair or replacement of any defective Non-Metal Frame Part through the customer service team of the manufacturer of the adjustable bed, including technical and onsite support, and any related labor. To the extent permitted by law, the purchaser shall bear all service, transportation, labor, and shipping costs related to the delivery and/or replacement of the defective Non-Metal Frame Part.
  3. Years 0-10: Any physical flaw despite normal usage and proper handling on removable frame components including mattress retainer bar, wood legs, metal frame, and hardware.

This Warranty does not cover:

  1. Damage caused by improper assembly of the bed frame.
  2. Personal comfort or style preferences.
  3. Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, stains, or soiling.
  4. Any damage resulting from improper handling or misuse, physical abuse or connection to an improper power supply, or by customer’s failing to adhere to the Owner’s Guide provided with the product.
  5. Damage resulting from the relocation of the adjustable bed within or from the original residential address.
  6. Replacement of any non-defective pieces of the bed frame (only defective pieces will be replaced).
  7. Damage resulting from any cleaning method other than the allowable spot cleaning.
  8. Replacement of an accompanying Silk & Snow product where only one piece is defective, unless the other piece is also defective.
  9. Product sold by re-sellers who are not authorized retailers.
  10. Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  11. Some degree of variation of the Silk & Snow product is to be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary comfort and use of the product are not considered to be defective (i.e. surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These conditions and any other conditions of a similar nature are not considered to be defects for which customers can seek any remedy under the warranty).
  12. Unauthorized repair or replacement of the product or any of the parts. 
  13. A slight discolouration of the fabric after long-term exposure to light or usage.
  14. Normal wear and tear as a result of cleaning and normal use.
  15. Any issue if modification(s) were made to the product. 
  16. Damage incurred by transportation after initial delivery. 
  17. Damage due to jumping, climbing, or laying directly on the adjustable bed without a mattress. 
  18. Damage due to use on an inappropriate surface/placement. The product must be placed directly onto a leveled floor.

Pillows

Silk & Snow 3-Year Pillow Warranty

Silk & Snow Inc. (“Silk & Snow”) guarantees that we will, at Silk & Snow’s option, replace or repair purchaser’s product directly from Silk & Snow within 3 years of original delivery date to the original purchaser if it is defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitation described herein.

This warranty does not include comfort preference, any damages or conditions resulting from misuse, accidents, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, non-compliance of the care instructions, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance.

Use of the pillow without a pillow case will void the warranty. Furthermore, the warranty is voided once the product leaves the country in which it was originally purchased.

During the three (3) years of this warranty, Silk & Snow will at its option, repair or replace the product with the current style which may be different than the original product. All return shipping costs will be paid by Silk & Snow and any third-party shipping expenses will not be reimbursed to the customer. Should such replacement take place, this warranty will cover that replaced product within the original three (3) year period only. Should this warranty be exercised and your product replace and/or repaired, the warranty will not be extended or renewed.

Bedding and Other Articles

Silk & Snow 1-Year Bedding and Other Articles Warranty

Silk & Snow Inc. (“Silk & Snow”) guarantees that we will, at Silk & Snow’s option, replace or repair purchaser’s product directly from Silk & Snow within 1 year of original delivery date to the original purchaser if it is defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitation described herein.

This warranty does not include comfort preference, any damages or conditions resulting from misuse, accidents, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear (including pilling), non-compliance of the care instructions, or failure to perform any preventive maintenance. Furthermore, the warranty is voided once the product leaves the US or Canada.

During the one (1) year of this warranty, Silk & Snow will at its option, repair or replace the product with the current style which may be different than the original product. All return shipping costs will be paid by Silk & Snow and any third-party shipping expenses will not be reimbursed to the customer. Should such replacement take place, this warranty will cover that replaced product within the original one (1) year period only. Should this warranty be exercised and your product replace and/or repaired, the warranty will not be extended or renewed.

Final Sale Items

“Final Sale”, “Clearance”, “Last Chance”, or other similarly marked items are not eligible for warranty coverage. 

Claims Process

The claims process must be followed to make a claim under this Warranty. Our representatives or designated agents shall make the final determination regarding repair or replacement. The Silk & Snow warranty extends to any official products purchased from Silk & Snow directly, or any of its authorized retailers. Should you wish to submit a warranty or defect claim on a product bought from an authorized Silk & Snow retailer, you must contact the retailer directly with proof of purchase before Silk & Snow can begin investigating the claim. At which point, you will be subject to the regular processes and regulations as outlined in our “Warranty” section.  Should you wish to return a product bought through a Silk & Snow authorized retailer, you must approach the retailer directly with proof of purchase. For returns, products must adhere to the parameters set forth by the retailer as stated in their policy.

To make a claim under this Warranty, please send:

  1. A brief written description of the problem or condition that you believe constitutes a defect.
  2. Photos of the defect being claimed as well as the law tags that indicate the manufacturing date.
  3. Proof of purchase (such as your order number or an original dated sales receipt)

Measuring Indentation (Mattresses):

  • Silk & Snow will require the purchaser to provide picture of the indentation.  By placing the mattress on a flat surface, and measuring the vertical distance from a flat and level string pulled tightly across the product and lightly contacting the product on opposite sides, to the lowest point of the indentation using a clearly demarcated measuring device.

Physical Flaws:

  • Silk & Snow will require several pictures of the physical flaw that is being claimed under the warranty. The nature and number of pictures will vary depending on the claim.

THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN AND THE OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITIES OF SELLER AS STATED ABOVE ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO PURCHASER AND PURCHASER HEREBY WAIVES ALL OTHER REMEDIES, WARRANTIES OR GUARANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARISING BY LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE. PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT NO OTHER REPRESENTATIONS WERE MADE TO PURCHASER OR RELIED UPON BY PURCHASER WITH RESPECT TO THE QUALITY AND FUNCTION OF THE PRODUCTS HEREIN SOLD.
