Loop Mattress Canada Overview

The Loop mattress a mattress brand offered at RD Furniture, which was recently renamed from Surplus RD on September 2019. RD furniture is a liquidation centre that offers mid to high-end products, new and in their original packaging. The Loop mattress is a one of the many mattress-in-a-box brands that are offered by Furniture RD, and manufactured out of Dreamstar, which is a manufacturer based on in Toronto, Ontario.

Loop Mattress Construction and Materials

The Loop Mattress is made entirely in Canada, which is a great thing! Canadian manufacturing typically indicates a higher quality product, which is why Silk & Snow mattresses are also made in Canada.

The Loop Mattress features a quilted cotton cover and is comprised of the following 3 foam layers:

1.5’’ Gel-infused Memory Foam

2’’ High-resilient Foam

7’’ Soy Bio-green High-density Foam

The comfort layer is 1.5” memory foam layer is thinner than many of the more popular Canadian Bed-in-a-Box brands who usually have a 2” comfort layer. The thinner layer of memory foam would usually translate into a slightly firmer feel.

Next is 2” transition layer, which is made from a standard polyurethane foam. This foam does not posses the sinking effect of memory foam, and acts as a firmer layer for support between the comfort layer and the base layer.

Lastly, the base layer is made from a firmer polyurethane foam layer. As with many Canadian made mattresses, the foam uses a very small percentage of soy-based alcohols, similar to what is used in the Silk & Snow mattress.
